Drone Filming and Aerial Photography Across New Zealand

Parallax Films offers professional drone filming and aerial photography that brings a new perspective to property, places, architecture and the environments around them.

Aerial view captured by a Parallax Films drone during a filming project

From sweeping aerials of large-scale developments to detailed flyovers of aged care communities, rural properties and coastal resorts, drone work is crafted to show scale, context and design from above.

The team operates with a certified drone pilot holding CAA 102 approval and certification. This means Parallax Films can legally fly in areas where uncertified operators cannot, including within 4km of an airfield. The team also holds an exception that allows night flying and can work with clients to gain concessions for Government-owned land. Drone operations are strictly only carried out where it is legal and safe to do so.

Yes. Drone work is typically integrated with ground-based photography and video to produce a complete visual package. Combining both within a single production ensures consistent quality and coverage, and is often more efficient than booking aerial and ground work separately.

If aerial footage cannot be captured due to legal, safety or weather restrictions, the team will film additional featured ground footage to include in your final imagery. The terms and conditions outline the approach to weather-related changes in detail.
